SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER COMPLETES CKD TRAINING by Marsha Fried, V.P. Professional Development



For nine weeks this summer the chapter held a CKD training course at Viking Kitchens in North Haven. Of the twenty seven who signed up, 19 participants persevered and had the opportunity to receive an overview of the new guideline books on which the September CKD exam will be based. This is the first exam to be given using the new guidelines. Each segment was taught by one of our gifted chapter CKDs.They were:

The teachers were well prepared and some had handouts and used power point presentations. I would like to thank Viking Kitchens for hosting the training in their spacious and well equipped facility. A very special thank you to the “faculty” who gave their time in preparing and teaching the courses. We wish all of the “students” who are taking the exam in September the very best of luck and look forward to congratulating them later this fall.
